Certificate IV in Community Services (CHC42015)
ONCALL Group Australia is a major employer of a dual workforce in Disability and Residential Out of Home Care. The Community Services Cadetship is designed as a flexible pathway to start work by undertaking transport shifts, providing Disability Support Work and progressing to Residential Youth Worker in an Out of Home Care setting.
The program starts with an in-classroom course that delivers the mandatory requirements to work in Disability & Residential Out of Home Care. It is hands-on and the course content is delivered through a mixture of practical and course work. This method of learning maximises the retention of the course content and provides the biggest benefit for students. At the conclusion of the course, you will be job-ready and employable with ONCALL and other community services providers.
Practical placement is a mandatory requirement for some of the units chosen for the Certificate IV in Community Services qualification.
Students must complete 40 hours of work-related practical placement in Out of Home Care.
This practical placement will not only assist in developing work-ready skills but will also help to consolidate the skills and knowledge for some units.
This course is offered as a full-fee paying course or through the Australian Government's Skills First Funding.
