ONCALL Training College is committed to supporting our community so during Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ Restrictions our staff will be isolating at home to deliver this course by remote learning.
Enrolments are still open for this course and participants may commence immediately using our virtual classroom technology.
This qualification reflects the role of those who work in youth and family intervention, including practice specialisations in residential and out of home care, family support and early intervention. Workers operate under a broad supervision framework and within clearly defined organisational guidelines, service plans and position specifications.
Practical placement is a mandatory requirement of this qualification students will need to complete 120 hours.
This practical placement will not only assist in developing work ready skills but will also help to consolidate the skills and knowledge for some units.

Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements: There are no prerequisites for this nationally recognized qualification. Admission Requirements: There are no barriers to entry based on age (other than post school students over 16), gender, social or educational background. Students need to be able bodied and have the physical capacity to undertake the practical application of the program. Student should have foundation skills at the ACSF levels listed below. This is tested during our Pre-training review. Each student is required to complete the Language, Literacy & Numeracy assessment to determine what level they are currently working at & if they are suitable to proceed with this qualification. Where students do not have skills, they may be provided with additional support to develop their literacy and numeracy skills to this level if appropriate, or alternatively they will be provided information on other more appropriate courses. USI Requirements: Learners are required to comply with Evidence of enrolments at the time of enrolment at time of enrolment with ONCALL Training College. Students are required to provide appropriate forms of IDs to confirm their eligibility to enroll in this course. Students are required to apply for unique student identification (USI) number while their study period in Australia and this information will be handed to the students at the time of orientation. (https://www.usi.gov.au/ ) IT Requirements: This qualification requires a basic understanding and use of computers and the internet. Support will be provided as required to develop the students’ skills. |

Course Structure
To successfully achieve the CHC40313 - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care), sixteen (16) units must be completed which are made up of:
- 10 core units
- 6 elective units, of which:
- at least 4 units must be selected from the listed electives
- up to 2 units may be selected from any endorsed Training Packages or accredited courses relevant to the work outcome
Where appropriate, electives may be packaged to provide a qualification with a specialisation in residential and out of home care, or family support.

Fees
For a short time only we are offering scholarships reducing the total cost to $3,200 paid over $200 weekly instalments.
Training Delivery
Workshops, 8.45am – 4.30pm 1 day per week.
This course will be delivered using a blended delivery methodology. The blended methodology employed by ONCALL Training College will include an intensive face to face classroom training session including a theoretical and practical component along with on-line and self-study.
This course will be delivered at our newly renovated training facilities at Suite 1/670 Canterbury Road Surrey Hills Victoria. 3127.
