ONCALL Training College (OTC) with ONCALL Personnel have developed a new program for people who seek to expand their skills, knowledge and desire to improve their career opportunities in the Disability sector.
ONCALL Personnel’s NDIS Job Ready employment program provides the first step into our education pathway of Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), followed by Certificate IV Disability.
The qualifications also have a mandatory 120 hours work placement requirement. A minimum of 40 hours will be unpaid in a supported work environment and the remainder can be undertaken while working in your role as a NDIS Support Worker following the JobReady program.
There are no prerequisites for this nationally recognised qualification.
There are no barriers to entry based on age (other than post school students over 16), gender, social or educational background. Students need to be able bodied and have the physical capacity to undertake the practical application of the program.
Student should have foundation skills at the ACSF levels listed below. This is tested during our Pre-training review. Each student is required to complete the Language, Literacy & Numeracy assessment to determine what level they are currently working at & if they are suitable to proceed with this qualification. Where students do not have skills, they may be provided with additional support to develop their literacy and numeracy skills to this level if appropriate, or alternatively they will be provided information on other more appropriate courses.
Learners are required to comply with Evidence of enrolments at the time of enrolment at time of enrolment with ONCALL Training College. Students are required to provide appropriate forms of IDs to confirm their eligibility to enroll in this course. Students are required to apply for unique student identification (USI) number while their study period in Australia and this information will be handed to the students at the time of orientation. This qualification requires a basic understanding and use of computers and the internet. Support will be provided as required to develop the students’ skills.
To attain the combined accreditation, 18 units must be successfully completed. This is made up of thirteen (13) units from the Certificate III in Individual Support and five (5) units from the Certificate IV in Disability.
Participants undergoing the combined My Pathway Certificate III & IV in Disability will receive the combined course at a discounted total rate of $2800 paid over instalments of $200 per week.
In comparison, the cost for the Certificate III in Individual Support alone is currently $2600 and the cost for a Certificate IV in Disability is $2800 so this combined course will provide significant savings for students.
This course will be delivered using a blended delivery methodology. The blended methodology employed by ONCALL Training College will include an intensive face to face classroom training session including a theoretical and practical component along with on-line and self-study.
