Course Overview
Our Enteral Feeding Support (PEG Training Course in Victoria) is a practical, face-to-face short course designed for support workers, carers, and healthcare staff who assist individuals with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) and other enteral feeding systems. This training builds confidence in providing safe, hygienic, and compliant feeding support in line with NDIS practice standards and workplace procedures.
Learning Outcomes
- Provide safe support for individuals with PEG and enteral feeding tubes
- Understand correct feeding techniques and equipment use
- Perform basic stoma care and site maintenance
- Apply infection control procedures to reduce risks
- Recognise signs of complications and respond appropriately
- Ensure safe positioning during and after feeding
- Follow reporting and documentation responsibilities accurately
- Support person-centred care in line with individual care plans
