Course Overview
ONCALL Training College (OTC) offers a greater choice for you to maintain your industry qualifications and remain up to date with your First Aid and CPR.
This short course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support (CPR), management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
This course requires a theoretical and practical assessment. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends this training be updated every three years.
ⓘ Please note: Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) includes Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009). Students will be required to demonstrate cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills on mannequins on the ground.

- Basic life support (DRSABCD)
- CPR and AED
- Cardiac emergencies
- Airway management – asthma, choking, severe allergic reaction, hyperventilation
- Seizures and convulsions
- Shock management
- Bleeding and wound care

- Extremes of heat and cold

- Debriefing and welfare

Delivery Method
Complete online theory at your own pace before attending the 2.5-hour practical session. The practical component is conducted at Surrey Hills. All face-to-face and online course material is provided. The face-to-face delivery includes an observation assessment.
